LOVE remains

I wait alone and watch on the edge of a new reality
here everything surpasses the ideal --
polished, smooth, wrapped and beautiful;
but I don't want it.
(it wasn't supposed to hurt to love.)
suddenly the wind came up
turning you into memories
as simple as the turning of the seasons.

can patience be traded for a dream?
can love be just an illusion?
friendship cut into stone is not easily erased

some words are eternal
distance not weakening the love
this silence crushes my strength in the invisible
the confusion becomes calm

yet somehow LOVE remains
