how do you tame a ram and a lion
give me eyes to see and I'll stand on a rock and win
without looking at their shadows.
does a shortcut tear the corners and cut the edges
trimming a promise so it won't fit?
does jealousy stalk my heart while it looks the other way?
if I line up with the unknown
will I be hidden from defenselessness?
yet if I find this slavery is a much deeper love
how is my life made strong
if it doesn't capture my heart with chains of gold
the battle is still raging
can I catch how wide love is
before it is too late?
