my weekend

RISK
to Laugh is to risk appearing a fool

to weep is to risk appearing sentimental
to reach out for another is to risk involvement
To express feelings is to risk exposing my true self
to place my ideas and dreams before others is to risk their loss
to love is to risk not being loved in return
to live is to risk dying, to hope is to risk despair
to try is to risk failure.

However, risks must be taken, because the greatest hazard of all is to risk nothing.
My willingness to risk in linked to my beliefs. if I believe much I can risk much.
The person who risks nothing has nothing does nothing, is nothing....
they may avoid suffering and sorrow but simply cannot learn, feel change, grow love or live.
Chained by their attitudes, they will live in bondage and forfeit all freedom.
only the person who takes risks is truly free.
